What are you asking exactly? If you are insinuating that chocolate is sinful then I will have to agree to disagree with the Easterbunny.
I'm sorry....it's just that....chocolate can't be considered a sin, or I will have to stop believing in the easterbunny and santa and all of that.
Seriously....I agree with you, what's up with religion, and why do they teach their children about santa clause? It's a ridiculous concept. (I'm still not giving up chocolate....or beer....I don't want to read your next question about some religious beer problem...ok?)
Peace!

The descending of the holy books acted as a guidance to God's creations and the commandments had been clearly stated how we should conduct our lives accordingly. Compulsorily and
prohibitively and the "desire" God had given to us can be easily
mislead by the whispering of the Satan whom had promised God
to seduce and drag us to Hell. God had provided us with everything, the most pleasure life and soul which we can never repay. We have to choose between evil and good with our instinct, only those with good faith will avoid the evil and those with little or without faith shall follow the evil. God had nothing to
lose besides his mercy of creating all mankind, the earth that we live in and food from the earth , sea and the air. It will be rather
ashamed and sinful to repay the God with the evil way. Whether we like it or not we have to accept this reality , because our soul will return to him after death.

Most 'pleasures' have harmful health or social effects. ( Smoking, Drinking Gambeling, Adultary, Hunting- other than for food). So to keep the society together relegion was used to promote good habits.
Sex is not sinful, Roaming in the nature is not sinful, Watching movies is not sinful so many more things are there which are not sinful.

It's not repression. It's encouragement to strive for something better.
There's nothing wrong with eating all day (gluttony) but it will make you fat.
There's nothing wrong with doing nothing all day (idleness) but you will never achieve anything.
There's nothing wrong with indulging in sex orgies alll the time, but it could give you disease.
God's just reminding you to be careful of excess. All the laws he sets down are logical.

Well, the Bible says not to indulgde in drink. But weed's fun, and I don't think it makes any mention of that. It definitely doesn't say anything about acid, E, crack, smack, GHB, coke, shrooms, ketamine, DMT, AMT, angel dust, or salvia; I'm sure of this.
