Check inside her ear, here in Aus they put a tattoo there, specially with females, to show they have been desexed.

There are still many whose information regarding the age for desexing of cats is very much behind the times. Shelters, and most vets here in Australia and overseas, are all for early desexing - from 8 weeks on.
Cats can be well and truly sexually mature at six months, (we have some pregnant 5-6 month kittens at the shelter over the past month, one is ready to give birth as wel speak).

Weather can effect the behavior. My 11 month old (spayed) female and my 4 year old (neutered) male have been belting around the house the last couple of days. Pouncing on each other, smooching each other. Both have been a bit standoffish with the human population.

Contact where you got the kitten from and ask them if she has been spayed. You should have been told when you got her, at the least you should have asked.

Lay her on her back and see if she has all her belly fur - if she does - she has not been spayed.
Feel in the middle of her lower tummy, there will be a scar there. It should be 1 or 2 small bumps in a straight line.
Check inside her ears and see if she has a tattoo in one of the,. If she has, that means she has been spayed (I live in Australia and that's what they do here, not sure in other countries).
Go to where you got her (breeder, pet store, etc.) and ask them. They should have records if you got it from a Pet store because they usually do it there. Breeders will know.

Usually they get spayed at around her age, so most likely no one spayed her before you got her. You can sometimes see a scar on the belly, near where her navel should be. The vet can let you know for sure.

check for a small scar on her underside. also, to perform the surgery, they usually shave off a bit of fur, which definitely would not have grown fully back yet, so check for shaved fur in the same area.
