Well you may get hounded by the recruiters, but until you swear in the second time there isn't much they can do other than call you.
It is better that you back out now then when you get there.
But if you think you have what it takes, then a tour with the Corps just might be the thing for you.
Good luck

Legally you are not enlisted and obligated unless you have been sworn into service. Even if you signed a contract you can break that because you received no 'consideration' (advance pay, a dollar and love, kisses, etc) in exchange for your promise. So, just walk. OTOH, you must live with yourself and what you are all your life. I cannot encourage you to join, even though I did, under threat of eminent draft, 40 years ago (and was then a lot less savvy than people today). But now, looking back, I am glad that I did join and fulfill my commitment. You must examine how you may feel in 40 years. Like FDR, "I hate war." However, for our nation and way of life to endure it is a necessary evil at this time and some must take up the fight. Good luck in any case with whatever becomes your destiny.

Well, I am a little out of date, but if you did not sign an enlistment contract you should be OK. It is a bit different from 1970. Things change. But one thing is universal and always will be. Join the navy or air force if you want to learn a useful skill. Otherwise you may as well get used to the idea of being bored and dirty 99% time and scared stiff 1%.

I am best going to aid you for the reason that I can not stand the tought of you in my army. You can nonetheless get out. You don't formally belong to any department of the provider till you're taking the oath correct earlier than you're shipped as well camp. Yes, you probably did take an oath whilst you at first signed your whole bureaucracy, however you'll nonetheless backout. You have got to cross in your recruiter NOW. S/he would possibly not be glad. They will by and large let you know that you simply can not backout, however stick with your weapons. You can get out. Just inform him that your situations have modified and you do not desire to head. Keep in brain that you simply by and large will certainly not to competent to serve within the military once more. This is not going to influence your public list, however you're going to be flagged within the army method. Think lengthy and rough approximately this. There are such a lot of advantages to serving within the army. But, if it is not correct for you, please don't do it. You will motive your self and the ones round you plenty extra damage than well in case you do just it for the hell of it. Good good fortune.

Yea, it sounds like your not in yet, so the chances are good that you can still get out of the mess you put yourself into. I am in the army, and if you want to join any branch, join the Air Force. But i wouldnt talk to the meps station anymore and dont return their calls, eventually they will leave you alone. Good luck.

it is not to late to get out until you sign the paper after you swear in.
Most of the time nothing will happen if you just refuse to go to Basic even after that, but people will think you are a dirt bag for not living up to your obligations.

If haven't signed the enlistment contract...you're golden. If you have you might have prollems. Just hit on him and tell him the only reason you went this far was because he looks hot in his uniform. What's the hold-up though? I went and got shot at...what gives?
