Carnations are funeral flowers. Please don't choose them. Everyone hit the nail on the head with tulips. You can find an array of colors and they are bright. If you want a more romantic flower, Calla Lillies are grand and gorgeous. I was a bridesmaid that got to carry a couple of callas with ribbon and it looked good. The bride had callas and roses to make a very stated arrangement and it was fabulous! You can make big arrangements and they are good "fakes" , if you aren't buying them at Kmart.
Talk to a local florist even for ideas of flowers as well. Use your resources wisely!!!
GOOD LUCK!

It really depends on the quality of the fake flower, I personally don't like them. Maybe you can check with a supermarket and haven your flowers done there for a low cost. I think fake flowers look strange in pictures and you can always tell they are fake. They look like hotel centerpieces.

Gerber daisies are really pretty. You can get them in red and white. Or mums and spider mums. Those are pretty as well. Good luck!

Hydrangea and Hyacinth. I had those and roses, it was georgeous! White Hydrangea with white roses in them and lavender hyacinth pieces for color accenting. My florist also sprayed gold glitter and put jewels on them for sparkle!

It's plural, dear, as in "What ARE the best flowers..." If you are having this much trouble with this one, I don't hold out much hope for the really MAJOR decisions that will come with marriage. Lot's of luck, dear! You're going to NEED it!
