If you racists here don't want others coming to Britain, are you prepared to take all your ex-pats back?

There are so many people saying keep foreigners out and yet they fail to see that the British are immigrants in other countries too. I live in germany and most of my friends are from Britain. So should all these people return when other foreigners are banned. Who is going to pay for that? Who is going to provide jobs for these people.

The fact is that most British see it as a right to be able to work elsewhere but scream blue murder when other come to work in their country.

Just read some answers and I want to point out that the number of brits abroad far outweighs the number of "foreigners" in Britain. Is a Muslim born in Britain a foreigners? If so then you can take back most of Australia Canada and the US!!!!

I know many "Brits" in Germany who are unemployed and because they can't speak German they can't find jobs. Yet they choose to stay. They claim unemployment benefit etc. Just like some foreigners in Britain.

Now for those who talk about illegal immigrants who work in Britain I will add this point. Who employs these illegal immigrants? Who makes money off the back of illegal immigrants which in turn generates tax revenue? Should we close down all companies that employ illegal immigrants? Bye bye Mc Donalds, Burger King etc etc. These people do the work that you don't want to do. While you sponge off the dole these people are doing the work you should be doing. If you sent all these people home you would be cleaning **** off toilet floors.

And further more if you are talking about dealing with people who scrounge off the state then deal with your own white British scroungers that have never worked a day in their lives and probably never will, who also get a free house and benefits which all working people pay for.

To Tony in Spain... I know several English people claiming benefits in Germany!!! Of course you can claim benefits in other countries. So you get you facts right.

And to those using the terrorist angle... face facts... there has been one attack on England. Now Harold Shipman killed more than those terrorists. He was white. He was a doctor. Why not throw white doctors out of the country. Ian Huntley was white, the Yorkshire Ripper too. It seems only when people of another race and religion kill that people go crazy!!!

And to those that use the "foreigners telling us what to do line!" Don't make me laugh. It is your very own majority white upper middle class government that tells you what to do. You elected them. You are responsible for their actions.

And further more to Tony the soldier boy in Spain. I guess you moved to Spain because you couldn't speak English. You refer to me as a foreigner. Maybe I am. I'm from N. Ireland. The side that has been a thron in your backside for the last 35 years. Britain isn't racist? Try telling that to Irish who were working in London and were greeted by the "No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish" signs. There are just as many white Brits on benefits as there are non whites and foreigners!!!! What are you going to do abouth them?

You have a point. Racists do tend to have a double-standard.

But I do not think that MOST British think they have a right to work elsewhere and scream blue murder when others come to work in Britain. Most British do not have any problem with immigrants who have come to the country legally to work and pay their taxes.

What you need to understand is that much of the racism has been caused by bad government policies. Successive British governments have allowed migrant workers, in order to use the cheap labour, but have not ensured that there is sufficient work or housing for them, and, as a result, British tax payers have had to pay for their unemployment benefits, housing benefits, health care, education for their children, etc., while at the same time services available to British citizens have been increasingly expensive and poorer quality. Understandably, this has caused resentment. The problem is that, instead of blaming the government for the crisis, some people blame the immigrants. This is unfair. The immigrants are just doing what anyone would do in their circumstances. They have taken an opportunity to improve their fortunes. That is human and has been done since human beings decided to wander elsewhere to see what is there. That is how all the ancestors of the British arrived on the British Isles. All British people are the descendants of immigrants.

What is needed is a rational immigration policy in Britain and Europe -- that is not dominated by the racists, nor is it driven by an ideological "open doors" policy -- but is one that actually responds to the real circumstances and situation of the UK and the EU.

And, after all, the Germans have not been all that friendly to the Turkish and Eastern European immigrants who were invited to come and work as cheap labour!

I think you'll not only find that we would welcome them back with open arms, but many would return if they thought it was an 'immigrant free zone'! The vast amount of people leaving this country in record numbers each year are mainly because they currently have no voice in their own country and have decided enough is enough. It costs more and more (In taxes) to live here each year to pay for all the money grabbing scum, the sooner they all go home the more Brits will return and the tax burden on this country will halve...And before the hippy brigade start saying the immigrants work here. What about the bloke with the hook?? Living off disability allowance whilst preaching hate!! Given a council house for his entourage of 'freeloading' scum and yet he still managed to buy a house valued at over £1million pounds!!! Where the F**k did that money come from????? Get your facts right you cant go to Pakistan and claim unemployment benefit or free medical help when you come off the boat.And you cant in europe except in England
you cant preach your religion there either you just don't have the freedom.
i live in Spain why cause all my money was taken in taxes to fund all you illegals.so i came to Spain i pay for all my medical expenses here i and any other expat cannot just go on the system for money you have to work a certain lengh of time and pay in to the system.
and yes their are very few jobs here so no work we starve simple saying that i neither want or expect hand outs like immigrants do and not one expat white English has ever ever tried to change the country to suit them not like all the Muslims are doin in England because we regard ourselves as guests and the Spanish people as hosts.

Very good point, most Brits have never even been out of the UK they havent got a clue, and a vast number dont want to work, but they are complaining about immegrants that do want to work!
For donkeys years I have worked overseas, anywhere that work was available, the only place I was made 'not welcome' was Nigeria, but I put up wth that as soon as I realised the majority were pratts with no intellegence between them!
I suggest the immigrants treat the predudiced Brits the same way, pity them!!
I had to go to hospital recently,(I had never really thought at all about immigration)! Then I looked around the place and immediatly thought"What would we do without all these people helping out here"?
It appears most of the answers to your question seem to think it would be OK for ex pats to return? I wonder if they mean white ex pats or all ex pats? BIGOTS!!

Why are some of you people so closed minded?? Im from Ireland and we are in the same situation as you! There are a number of people who feel the way you do , but I am not one of them! Some of these people have left terrible living situtations and there is not one person on this site that can say if it were them and they were offered a new life they wouldn't take it! And anyway why would you want a country full of the same people! Nobody want some diversty!

There would be a major problem if we did.

When Thatcher gave away our industry to anyone that wanted it, she allowed anyone foreign to buy that which she couldn't move.
Naturally the Brits had to follow the work.
To have them return we would have to set up our industries again, only this time it would be with up-to-date equipment.
Germany wouldn't stand a chance with its labour laws, and of course do what all good Germans do.
Make their voice heard.
This takes us back in time to 1924.

I for one am not a racist. there are so many stories that u caould read about immigrants that would shock u. For example Abu Hamza "the hook" HATES britian declares he hates it gets police protection whilst declaring he hates it, yet brings his wife and children to live here. It dosent make sense muslim who come to live here and decide they "hate" all the free NHS, housing, taxes, education and choose to bomb the country. There are many places you could go to especially in North London. There are now areas which are no go for the police in case you "upset" the turkish living in the area. I could go on but it wont make a blind bit of difference.
As for your point of the british screaming blue murder. The majority of immigrants do not work here but claim off the state which im sure aware entails Free everything. one final thing a relative of mine went to the housing and asked to be housed and no word of a lie was told as he was not Foreign, a pregnant woman, mentally ill, an aslyum seeker or an immigrant. he didnt have a hope in hell.

Nothing against immigrants in the UK as long as they want to pay their own way. We should kick out the scroungers who live on benefits when they are perfectly healthy though (the indigenous ones too!!!)!

i think there is more to this question, people mostly use the phrase ' if they dont like it ( the country, our culture etc) then they can go back home'

i can see why they say this sometimes because we bend over backwards to accomodate immigrants and there beliefs etc, eg: the recent cok up by british airways where a christian woman was suspended without pay for wearing her cross!! when muslims could wear their religious bracelets!

but i dont think we should send everyone back home that is silly, my girlfriends parents would have to go back to ghana and close the opticians!!
