The first answerer is right that many religions believe that there is some aspect of people that is eternal. However, my understanding is that many religions teach that this began to exist at birth and not before.
My church, though, teaches that we did exist as spirits before we were born and that we lived in the presence of God the Father before that time. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

It would be easier to ask which religions DO NOT teach the idea of prexistent souls/spirits. My answer would be Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in the most conservative understanding of their holy books.

I would say that most, if not all, of the world religions believe in some kind of eternal soul or aspect of each person (possibly with the exception of Buddhism).

Not that we exisited before,but we were predestined to exist at some point in ages,and we were predestined to accomplish some duties,according to St.Paul.We were predestined before the earth was made.

in islam the beleive is allah(the lord) created all man kind souls then asked who is your lord they said you our lord,then he created humen each one in his time and his soul get inlet that body at the 4th month of pregnancy and the appearance of that the mother felt his first move which means that he became alive.
