Well, my dad got his pilot's license just last year simply because he likes to fly. He owns a couple planes, but he doesn't use them for business or travelling - just for recreation.
Other than that most people just use planes to get from point A to poit B - it's the fastest and usually cheapest way to get somewhere, especially overseas.

Besides business and travelling? How can you travel in a plane, if you're NOT travelling? That doesn't make sense... BUT, I'll help you out. I travel up to 13,000 feet in an airplane, multiple times, every weekend. At 13,000 feet, I jump out, and do it again. Skydiver.... Blue Skies.

well for me to get from here in australia to say england it would take a long time by boat, and no way by bus or train, my car cant float so i guess plane is the only way!
