My 6 year old has everything:
Computer, DVD Play, TV, Stereo, LeapPad, VSmile,Barbie House (the big one), Cabbage Patch, Graco Doll Furniture, Bratz,Playstation 2,Bike, Etc. She is too big for her powerwheels anymore but too small for me to feel comfortable getting her an electric scooter, has clothes in the closet with tags still on, WHAT DO I GET HER??
By the way, I do not spoil her with things, We have a HUGE family blended many times over. We are getting our 2 year old boy - Itsy Bitsy Spiderman, VSmile Baby, and a TV and DVD combo for his room along with some clothes he will need for the winter months and want to spend comparable on her.

I also agree with the other poster, give her something from the heart. Maybe you could take her to a local horse stable and let her learn about horses/ponies and get a picture with one. Or let her see the other side of Christmas and help give toys out to other children who are underprivileged.

Don't worry about the newest/trendiest thing to get. She will grow bored with it if it isn't something that stimulates her mind--and with that I suggest getting her more educational toys, even a gift card to a book store so she can get books that she wants to read.

For the child that has everything already I believe it is best to start instilling things from the heart and show that giving to others is just as rewarding as receiving something. I'm not saying don't get her anything but I am saying show her the other side of giving and get her things that will last and she will put her interest in like a guitar, microscope, kids workout tape etc...

CDS are good for a six year old as long as she's got a cd player. Hannah montana anything, really. They sell them like wild fire in walmart. Jonas Brothers are good for a six year old. She definitely KNOWS them if she liked Hannah Montana. JB are kind of both, lil kids and teeny boppers (love that word!). Also... I'll bet she likes High School Musical. They sell tons of that stuff too. I hate the Naked Brother's Band too. Sounds like forty year old that'd play songs naked in a porno. :D

6 years old is the perfect time to start learning something that will stick with her for the rest of her life....a musical instrument.
I have five children- my seven year old is getting a piano for Christmas (I would have got it last Christmas, when she was six, but money was tight because on our fifth child's birth and I'm in Iraq). My oldest are in band at school and are excelling in their school work. Music inspires the mind to learn on a different level. Good luck!

Take her shopping just to look at stuff and get a feel for what she would like. Have her make out a Christmas List.

Sounds like a very lucky girl!! However, have you thought of things like craft ideas- colouring kits, easel, paint, etc... she's at a great age to encourage her natural abilites through gifts. If not arts or crafts, what about an instrument that she may be interested in? Some do get a little costly but she may not grow out of it as quickly as she will with other toys marketed for her age.

I would start by donating some of her stuff - she has way too much, honestly. Bratz are totally inappropriate!

Some nice toy ideas are:

A rainbow house and playsilks http://www.islandtreasuretoys.com/waldorf_playstands.html these are so good for imaginative play and are beautiful as well

Puzzles

Books

Puppets like these http://www.folkmanis.com

A puppet theatre

I totally understand! My daughters have five sets of grandparents and they have everything that they could ever want. My four year old loves to dress up so I am getting her some dress up clothes and shoes. We are also getting her a new bedding set for her bed. It will be princesses or something girly like that. Hope that helps some!

take the children to the Kmart wish Christmas tree or something similar. Select a person for each of your children to buy a gift for that needy person.
Does she have a play kitchen? play vacuum? play iron, or cash register with bar code reader? My daughter loved all of those.

The new Elmo doll is supposed to be the rage this year. I've seen it on the news, and think it's awesome. Kids are going to love it. Here's a website.
