Low priced platinum?
Your joking right?
Diamonds range in price from industrial quality that look like crud and cost practically nothing to white class a that look great and cost a fortune.
But, there is no such thing as cheap platinum.
The rarity and the quality of the metal make it uber expensive.
Also if you are going to buy a diamond and platinum ring, I don't think I would do so over the net. I would only deal with a jeweler that I knew and trusted with that important and expensive a purchase. Also make sure you get a GIA certification with it (Gemology Institute of America)
Good Luck.
Oh and if you are looking for unique then you have to be willing to pay for the quality and workmanship of a mastercraftsman jeweler. Forget wholesale prices. In the jewelry industry you get what you pay for, and unique is expensive.

It really depends upon what type of jewelry you're talking about. Is this for a man or a woman? What type of ring, etc. If it's going to involve large diamonds then I'd recommend doing some research on www.pricescope.com to select loose stones and then have them mounted in a setting of your choice. If it's just for a platinum band with smaller "melee" type stones each with a weight of .20 carat or less, then you can't go wrong with most of the larger online vendors such as bluenile.com or jamesallen.com. If you're looking to design something and still get a great price then check out www.whiteflash.com. They'll work with you on a custom design, they have beautiful diamonds, and will try to stick to your budget. Good luck!!!
