if you haven't had the tetanus in the last 10 yrs, you should probably go ahead and get it just to be safe.... might want to watch it for redness, swelling, or fever. these are signs of infection.

Boy!! I went through that, once I was in a rush and there was a toothpick on the bathroom floor and went through the left side of my left foot, it had been used and by the second day the pain was absolutely unbearable,(even though I got it out) the tip was still inside and didn't know it, I had to have a mini surgery and it was the most painful thing, the Dr. said it was a good thing I made it in because my foot got really infected and had something called celluliteus, some kind of blood disease that was starting to form on my foot, was so swollen, gave me anti-biotics and I couldn't walk for a few days, had a special shoe, etc., not a fun thing to go through, this taught me to always remove any objects, tiny or any kind from the floor, you need to call your Dr. immediately and let him know what took place, see what he has to say about the shot, or what he recommends.
Best of luck!!

Ouch!!! I would recommend getting a tetanus shot. If the needle was on your bathroom floor, chances are it wasn't too sterils. True the shot hurts like a son of a gun, but it is better to be safe than sry. Good luck and watch your step further on.

it is unlucky! Hurts plenty I guess. i'm hoping you would be ok, the backside of your foot isn't very gentle, because of the fact decrease back then some human beings used bare-feet to stroll on the inflexible floor. yet having a needle pierce 3/4 could reason a leek interior the arteries and reason blood flow to fail around to feet and overall performance will decelerate, worst case state of affairs is loss of life, I won't scare you concept it decrease than 0.0% it would ensue and not employing a clue. Clue as in connect soreness or you could sense your foot flow is failing. in case you're fortunate the wear would be equivalent to the different shot. i've got faith you would be ok, because of the fact in our era he get many photos in diverse section. not often the backside of the foot till that's surgical treatment(unsure if that's often the backside of the foot or no longer in basic terms a hypothesis) even in the adventure that your foot is the cleanest, continually of challenge of an infection-- even socks carry micro organism, so basically be careful and in case you may make an appointment with a doctor.

a tetnus shot is good for ten years so if you had one in the last ten years you are ok, if not, you can think it over, but its not really likely anything will happen.

Yes, you should right away. You can soak your foot in some Epsom salt, it is healing, in warm water. I hope you got it out. Is it red, or looking infected, put some antibiotic cream on it, and before pour Peroxide in the hole to kill germs.
