I see often 'pduh' typed when talking about the Prophet Muhammad. What does this state for? Is it used by Muslims only or are the people typing this using a rude abbreviation?

I think you write its abbreviation is wrong It is not pduh but pbuh means peace and blessing be upon him or in Arabic language for sallahu alaihi wassalam (saw). We should say the name of our prophet Muhammad followed by pbuh in line with our holy book and hadith as an honour to him.as a prophet..It is a polite abbreviation for him.as a proof that we beloved him.

(pbuh) which stands for "peace be upon him" shows to what extent people's minds are controlled. If there were no god, people could invent their own even by sanctifying some humans. This happened in the Greek myth and Ancient Egyptian myth. The problem is that if you don't say this phrase when you mention prophets especially Mohammed (pbuh) you commit a great offense against God and against the prophet.

It's PBUH, means Peace Be Upon Him, used for all prophets before him as well as a sign of respect.

Well you will see I always type sas not pbuh ..

After the prophet Muhammad (sas) we say : peace and blessing be upon him because
[33:56] God and His Angels send blessing on the Prophet: o ye that believe send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.

As for other prophets we only say peace be upon him .. because:
[27:59] Say: Praise be to God, and Peace on His servants whom He has chosen (for His Message). (Who) is better? God or the false gods they associate (with Him)?

PBUH --peace and blessings of Allah be upon him/her
PBUT -- peace and blessings of Allah be upon them
a.s -- Alay Salaam -- means peace be upon him/her

we invoke blessings of Allah to Angels, to Prophets because they have their whole lives dedicated for us. it isnt much that we offer them by invoking peace and blessings on them. afterall, prayers are for every one.
