Hi Pheon, Since he is interested in your friend and he doesn't know how you feel,i would give him a helping hand.This so called courting may fall through.If it does,let things cool down for awhile, and then see if he would like to go out with you.

If you do not have confidence in his reliability, how can you recommend him to your best friend? If you feel he is the right guy for your friend and do not doubt his character, you can talk to her to convey the message. But leave it to her to decide. No pressure from you at all.The fact that you haven't already done something to wean him away from the friend shows he will be better off with the other girl.

no -- be honest with yourself, tell him you would not feel good about that due to your feelings,, this will open the door and he will want to know your reason at which point you both can go for a soda and talk about it.. sometimes a guy will ask another to help just to let them know they available and interested in the one they are asking help from..

Wow that's a toughy. If you don't help him, he won't understand why if you never tell him that you want him for yourself, & he'll resent you for it.
I know, tell your best friend what's going on. If she's really your friend, then she'll understand, & you two can do a reverse play on him.
