Yes, they really are. I have taken them for years with very good results. My only caution to you about them is, they are much higher in iron, which can be upsetting to some people's digestive systems -- so you may have to adjust accordingly. There are no ill effects to taking the prenatals if you are not pregnant -- as with anything else, your body will just excrete any waste.

It's not a prenatal vitamin so no. You want to take prenatals because they contain ALL of the vitamins you need in pregnancy, something designed for hair and nails isn't going to give your baby all that he or she needs. Talk to your doctor about also about why there is a difference and why you need to take prenatals.

Prenatal vitamins are vitamins that give pregnant women extra nutrients they need during pregnancy. They are only recommended for pregnant women. But they do make your hair, nails, and skin healthy too because they are vitamins.

Those vitamins are formulated for a growing baby, not for a non pregnant woman. If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis...there are vitamins designed precisely for hair growth, but don't think that a shampoo type product can do any good....once hair has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.
