You don't need books. You need good grades and the ability to work simple problems in real time. Your on-campus interviews are going to be very short, on the order of 1 hr or less. Get help to write a good resume.

Be able to answer typical interview questions about your strengths and weaknesses, as well as "where do you think you'll be in 10 yrs." Note that if you have some serious weaknesses, you're probably better off not revealing those.

You should, if you still have time, get some solid summer or part-time job experience related to engineering.
