Champagne means a sparkling wine made by traditional methods frm Champagne in France.
Plenty of places make sparklingwine by several different methods, but on the wine from Champagne is Champagne -- and there are many brand names of it.
Funny that someone else named two brands - Moet and Andre. These are about as different as you can get. Moet is a brand leader of Champagne. Andre is a disgusting tasting carbonated fizz that has stolen and misused the name 'champagne' in order too fool consumers and to pass its self off as the real thing.
