Hi! Do you think that she could be sick or not feeling well? My baby did the same thing and I thought it was due to my starting her on solid foods -like it was a tummy ache. But then after two days I noticed that her nose was running and she actually had allergies. Maybe this is it or it may be something health related. Has she been doing anything differently than usual in her routine? Could she be teething? Or maybe she is feeling hungrier and needs to eat more often. Call your doctor if it keeps going on because usually there is a good reason when their sleep is interrupted. Good luck!

This happened to me many years ago to me. And my daughter is 26 now and hasn't suffered any damage from it. As a new mother I took advice from my sister and started to give my daughter a drink through the night to get her to go back to sleep. But it go so bad in the end that she was waking up every hour on the hour. No one was getting sleep. So one night my husband and I decided to try something out. It was a Friday night so the next day, no matter how long it went of for, we were able to sleep in the next morning. Well when my daughters bedtime came around, there was no problem, but later on in the night she woke for a drink and if we didn't come in, she would scream. Well w closed the door and let her scream all night long. She soon got the hang of it, that mum and dad weren't comeing in with drink. It sounded like we were murdering her, but it worked. If your daughter is doing similar things, then just lay her down and leave. Do this until she realises that she isn't getting anywhere. She will soon give up and sleep through the night. With children you have to be consistent with the things you do. Keep to a routine and the child will conform to your household. You were in the house first and they have to conform to you. Not you to them. Good luck and hope she sleeps through for your sake.

make sure there isn't any thing physically wrong.

Baby is going through a phase. Maybe a growth spurt.

Put on a night light and make sure your baby has things in crib that makes her secure... like a security blanket or a pacifier.

When she wakes up.....try this first before going in to the room.
Stand at the door and don't let baby see you, then you say shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
time for night night. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
this gives her the chance to calm herself down. If that doesn't work....think about....does she need to eat closer to bedtime? is there a new food in her routien that has been added?

Do you have a quiet - relaxing routien before she goes to bed.

Does she need a thicker diaper to feel dryer during the night?

it is probably just a stage she is going through, she is only a baby, so it could be many things that are disturbing her, perhaps she is thirsty, or is being woken by a noise, or is hot or cold, sometimes babies wake and become restless because of gas pains in their stomach,, if you ignore them for a little while they may go back to sleep, but if they are in distress you need to check and try to work out what is disturbing her.the best thing is probably to quickly check on her, give her a burp or drink, a little cuddle and then settle her back into her bed, leave a night light on and then go out of the room.babies often have changes to their sleeping and eating patterns. it is a part of them growing up. good luck

She may be teething.

Something we found worked fairly well was a teddy bear with a built in device that played the sounds an unborn baby hears. It put our son to sleep almost immediately.

If she's teething that's another problem you'll need to find a way to deal with.

Feed her more. She is likely waking up hungry. Give her some extra food just before bedtime and she will go back to sleeping through the night for you.

Peace!

Have you try to turn off the light while she want to get sleep?....I think all the suggestion above me all right, give her milk before she sleep, perhaps you can try to play a classical music or some lullaby songs for her...(coz i always do this for my son when he get to sleep). Good luck!

i would have to agree with a previous poster.......to a certain extent......they said feed her right before bedtime.........not so fast ........if you plan on feeding her solids b-4 bedtime make sure you do about 30 mins -1 hour at least.......my 1st daughter who is almost 4 now would poop once i laid her down after eating solids about 30 mins later and would stay like that without me knowing it........and would get a rash this went on for about 3 days before i realized what the deal was..............

my possible solution to you is.....feed her solids about an hour before bedtime......take her a quick warm bath......give her formula or breast milk........and she should be off to dream land........if that doesn't work........than i would give a quick call to the doc!!!!!!!

hope that helps

you can try to set a routine by taking her to bath then giving her milk and reading her bed time story. Milk helps baby to sleep and when you take her to bath use lavender or other claming baby bubble bath. it will take some effort but eventually she will settle. Wish you all the best good luck

keep her awake during the day, if she takes a nap make sure it is early and not too long that way she will be tired at bed time and should sleep all night
