Illegal immigrants help economy

Illegal immigrants are beneficial to our economy by providing the labor that is essential for production and our prosperity.

Deportation would cause major economic disruptions and would lead to higher prices for many goods and services.

Most of the illegal immigrants are young men who perform unskilled jobs. Contrary to popular opinion, there is no solid evidence that these individuals commit more violent crimes or are a greater burden on our social services, compared with individuals with a similar demographic profile: young men without a high school education.

Furthermore, there is evidence that illegal immigrants actually help our budget balance. Most of these workers do pay taxes (using a fake Social Security number), because employers are obliged to withhold taxes. However, many illegals end up returning to their home country to retire -- never collecting anything from either Social Security or Medicare.

We should be grateful that we are able to share our economic well-being with those who are less fortunate and that we are enlightened enough to realize that immigration benefits both ourselves and the immigrants. Let's hope that our political leaders avoid nationalistic tendencies and are able to make the right decisions for everyone's well-being.

SWEETIE---this article is what you would call spin. SPIN is describing an issue in such a biased manner that it is made sway a persons opinion--it's just a fabricated way of justifying someones stance on an issue. Notice the lack of numerical facts or other sources of information. The calm, soothing, rhetorical keywords---"our prosperity--higher prices...----our economic well being'' Paaleaaaze. If you think this article should be taken as a truth then you need to come to my neighborhood and let make love to you on a first date!!

Here are some more tantalizing facts---on the news today there is a story of how 10 states figure that between them the illegals are sending 35 billion dollars back across the border in a year. That's 35 Billion not being spent here--supporting us.

For every 7 Billion dollars of taxes paid by an illegal they are receiving about 57 billion dollars worth of welfare/social program/medical care etc etc. at our taxpayers expense--Wouldn't a better political policy get us back a few of them dollars?

Don't be a SHEEP--BAAA BAA!!!

This aritcle has so many flaws I will not even attempt to address them. This all started back in the '60s when it became popular to obey only the laws to which a person agreed. Now it has mushroomed to where our laws are irrelevant and a country that claims to be a nation of laws will soon become irrelevant if it does not enforce its own laws. Does any one wonder why we are ineffective in dealing with Iran or North Korean. The USA does not enforce any thing any longer preferring to yield to moral relevance rather enforce our laws. Everyone from the Mexicans to the North Koreans realize this and they just thumb their noses at us and do whatever they want to with impunity.

Illegal immigrants work hard in order to earn money and buy goods in USA. Taxes collected from wages and sales made by illegals enormously contribute to the revenues collected by the government. Thus, illegals are not that bad at all as perceived by others.

Get this through your head---
Illegals make our salaries stay LOWER.
Which makes our economy WORSE.
They do not do jobs that we don't want, they do jobs that we CAN'T do because of wages that aren't enough to live on because WE HAVE TO PAY TAXES.

Dont say that they pay taxes because getting paid under the table is TAX EVASION and is another CRIME added to the list of crimes they have already commited by coming here and living ILLEGALLY!!

GET real and QUIT EXCUSING CRIMES!!
You must support any and all crimes if you excuse illegals. You must support identity theft, tax evasion, and anything done without ID's.

"Most of the illegal immigrants are young men who perform unskilled jobs."
Since when did building a house or commercial building become "unskilled labor"??? They have taken over the construction jobs here in SW Florida.

DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS. I didn't read it because it's you, imposter Panocha. Hey, that has a nice ring to it. You are so obsessed with me and it's sad. I am assuming you STILL haven't found a man or a job yet. You are so pathetic.
