No, as eternal spirit souls temporarily covered by a material body, there is no time in the past that we did not exist and no time in the future in which we shall cease to be.

Reincarnation is a componant part of Vedic knowledge, the only way to understand it, is to understand your real identity as an eternal spirit soul, rather then the material body. Vedic understanding must be learned in its entirity to gain knowledge of the science of reincarnation and release from the cycle of the repetition of birth and death.

With this in mind, there is no question that reincarnation is a reality, we, as individual spirit souls are reincarnating within these very bodies, the material body is composed of gross molecules and atomic particles, that are constantly changing, every seven years each cell is completely replaced, so the body we had seven years ago is different to the body we have now, this is reincarnation, even within this life.

At the end of this life when the gross material body is no longer operational, being simply a temporary biological machine, then the subtle material mind replays the events of one's life, those events in one's life that are most prominant propel the spirit soul, the real self, to the next destination, the basis for this to happen is by the activities that we perform and the desires that are most prominant, man proposes and God disposes.

If we live a spiritual life, with activities and desires to please the Supreme, then the original spiritual body is revived and we can return home, back to Godhead, however if the desires are more worldly then we will attain another material body perfectly suited to the mentality that we have developed whilst being in the human form of life, therefore the knowledge of the science of reincarnation is of paramount importance to understand.

The early Christian church also taught reincarnation, up untill the 6th century A.D., in 553 A D when the Roman empire started to collapse, the emperor Justinian at the 5th Ecumenical council at Constantinople removed and altered the teachings of Jesus to gain more social control over the uneducated masses, by establishing the "scare tactic" of a singular life, as anyone who opposed these types of alterations was considered a heretic, it is not difficult to understand how these gross misconceptions came to be accepted.

Fortunately we are now able to discuss real knowledge openly, without fear of an inquisition, aside from a shrinking group of "text book" fundamentalists, the science of reincarnation is being accepted unopposed by many intelligent people.

No. This life is not all there is. The Bible speaks of a resurrection of the dead. When Jesus was on earth, he raised the dead, among the many other miracles that he performed. This was just a preview of what he is going to do for us in the near future.

The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where we read: "The dead know nothing . . . There is no pursuit, no plan, no knowledge or intelligence, within the grave." (Moffatt) Death, therefore, is a state of nonexistence.

The Bible says: "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus'] voice and come out." (John 5:28, 29) Bible also says: "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."—Acts 24:15.

Today, the earth is filled with hatred and strife, violence and bloodshed, pollution and disease. If the dead were to come back to life on such an earth, surely any resulting happiness would be short-lived. But the Creator has promised that he will soon bring an end to the present world society that is under the control of Satan the Devil. (Proverbs 2:21, 22; Daniel 2:44; 1 John 5:19) A righteous human society—"a new earth"—will then be a wonderful reality.—2 Peter 3:13.

At that time "no resident will say: 'I am sick.'" (Isaiah 33:24) Even the anguish of death will be done away with, for God "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

Souls that are determined to give their life a purpose get a number of opportunites necessary for learning the "syllabus", for earning their eternal life through acquiring knowledge and capabilities making them fit to live an eternal life.

Read "Rational Spirituality", a fast growing knowledge about God and the Universe shared by the thinking people, available on the Dhaxem website. Sooner than you believe, it will replace the religions with the sheer power of its logical argument.

Those who believe that they just need to sit around, do nothing, just believe in a saviour that will do the work for them, are naive and gullible beyond a belief. The answer, surely, is a matter of basic intelligence. God gave us a mind and capabilities so that we use them.

Religions try to tie up people's hands with the aim of manipulating the masses.

I hope not. I think I'd like another shot at life after this one is over. Not that this one is bad, but the idea of maybe doing better in another one sounds nice. And by doing better, I mean making a greater contribution to humanity and the world in general.

I don't think it is. I believe that we all come back and repeat life until we get it right, and learn the lessons we've been meant to learn. Kinda like nirvana.

Course it is, but if it gives you comfort to think you may be sitting on a cloud playing a harp, or in 'Heaven' after this life then good luck to you, no real harm in that I suppose! Plenty of harm in religions though!!

Nah, there's an after-life. Where you go for that after-life though is up to you now. If you want to go to where God is, then you need to know & follow Him in this life. If you want nothing to do with God, then you'll go to the place that was created for Satan and his demons (wasn't created for humans, but those who choose against God are actually choosing there).
I heard somebody the other day mention that people often wonder why God doesn't have a correctional period or something, like jail... instead of judgment, they get a chance to turn around. But this fellow suggested that God DOES...that time is now. Now we have the choice as to whether or not we're going to choose to be with Him, the one who created us and loves us enough to say, "I love you, and I want you to be with me forever...but I won't force you to make that decision...it's up to you."

Nobody knows, but why run the risk of waiting for a next life, if this one is a fact?
