does anyone know any hair straightening techniques? i can never get my hair to stay straight using a flat iron. especially at the back of my head.

i too have really curly hair and it is frizzy and kinda looks like Diana Ross if I don't put any products in it and leave it curly.
What I do after washing is put a very small amount of hair straightening product in my hair while it is still wet (towel dried), you can use anything, but make sure a small amount (pea size). Then let your hair dry naturally. Then get a flat brush and use this to blow dry all of your hair straight in sections (it wont go really straight at this stage but the kinks will come out). Then starting from the SIDES of your head blow dry it straight in small sections with a round brush, after you have blow dried one small section go over this small section with your iron.
I do this everytime I wash my hair and during the week go over it with the iron (in small sections) and it stays straight for a week and it actually looks natural! Make sure your blow drier has the small nozzle on the end.

make sure you are using a ceramic iron with at least a temp of 250 or more then use a rat tail comb and take about a half inch of hair comb it use the iron from root to tip comb again and iron more if needed make sure hair is completly dry and if you dont want to use an iron with that much heat you should try a gloss befor use or a protectant spray I hope that helps

are you using any product in your hair? i generally put an anti frizz serum and a bit of straightening balm in before blow drying. and when i flat iron, i use a heat protecting spray like Redken Spray Starch, or Sebastian Laminates. go in to hair a salon or beauty supply store and they'll help you out.
