Any thing is possible on that bike. Standard front susp forks can absorb semi hard impacts at best and it may help stabilize the front portion of the bike. Rear susp are like the norm now days for riding, but adds lbs. to a bike. Rear susp will give you better control off jumps as you land( hopefully on your tires) and with the rear shock absorbing the impact and giving less stress on the bike and rider. Also the bike will not bounce or recoil into you as much so again you stay in better control of the bike. Longer travel front and rear shocks might smooth out your ride even more. Then again, a hardtail bike is where it all began. Good luck on your bike choice!

No problem. Actually, most dirt jump bikes are hardtails. It most depend on how big a ledge you want to drop off from, and how your landing is. An inclined landing spot is smoother than falling on flat.

Look at the video 'Roam' from The Collective. You have a series of dirt jumps on HTs.

Where FS really help are on trails, and larger drops.

You can but don't take the really high jumps. The rear of the bike can buck you off. It happened to me once, then tried with full suspension with success.

Nope. Front suspension magically stops right at the lip of any jump or drop off, catapulting you into the air. Sorry to break the news to you.
