I pray about 2-3 times a day. Usually though, in addition to that I sing praise music about 2-3 times a day. So i think that all counts as prayer too. It's alone and i'm focused on God...so does the praise music count as prayer in your opinion?

Prayer is talking to/with God. The music would probably be considered praise, which is just as important. It doesn't matter how much you pray, it is the intent that really matters. Though to have a strong relationship with God, you will pray with intent often.

I've been told that to sing is to offer praise. Just because you are using a different form of speech (which is what music basically is) doesn't mean that it's not valid. Keep singing and praying! All praise is Praise!

prayers, praise, worship, all of these things count to your devotion to God. Sometimes the only thing I can say in prayers is Thank you Jesus. Does that count.....yes.

Anything you say and do with God as your focus is good.

Prayer is special time set aside to honor the one who created you and to speak aloud (or silently) what is on your heart. God already knows, so its a way for you to acknowledge to yourself what is really weighing on your heart.

There is no set amount of times per day that you must pray or be focused on God. three second thank you lords are just as healthy as hours spent in private prayer. Setting quota's is a man made thing, not from God. God wants your heart set on him and his ways and off of our own.

Listening to praise music is something I truely enjoy and it helps me stay focused on why I am here.

You are doing fine, keep growing and walking with God, its all that he asks of us.

I believe that if more christians sing praise songs they might find the true power of God .
Prayer easily becomes self centered and you bore yourself and God.
To praise is to say thank you and therefore prayer.
Enjoy it

it doesnt matter how many times have u prayed in a day, but how sincere u are is what matters. do not make praver an obligation, a duty,. make it a part of u self. make every act of yours a prayer by offering it to god. then see what happens.

Why does it matter? You should be constantly thinking, praising, and worshiping God. Its seems as though you are, so dont worry about what counts as what. All that matters is that God is formost in your mind.
