Afraid? No.
Last time we invaded without the support of the UN, the media whined to no end.
We'll be in there. It's just going to take a little more time.

Is the U.S afraid of China and North Korea? ..Hell no
If you do a little research the U.S kicked North Korea and Chinas @ss in the first Korean war, and we are quite a bit more technologically advanced and better trained now .
North Korea is terrified of the U.S it's not the other way around.
The only reason we haven't bombed them off the map yet is because were going to try and let the U.N do it's thing and if that doesn't work then we will have international support instead of going at them unilaterally.
To answer the question posed on why every nation with a nuclear arsenal isn't sanctioned. It's quite simple really.. Every nation with nuclear weapons besides for North Korea, only maintains a nuclear arsenal simply as a deterrent.
Rogue states like North korea will use them and will probably sell the technology to people who really shouldnt have them like al qaida or Iran.
Personally it angers the hell out of me seeing all the comments from the foreign community.. like the U.S is a bully or blah blah blah.
But when the crap hits the fan.. who does the world community call on first for help, whether it be monetarily or militarily or knock for lack of ..you guessed it, The good ole Usa.

North Korea will in no way attack South Korea. the reason, is ordinary and intuitive. The North Korean leaders are no longer Al-Qaeda terrorists or Islamist extremists. This helps the view that besides the certainty that the North Korean management many times misbehaves, it besides the certainty that acts in an extremely calculative and "rational" thank you to maximise its pastime. Secondly, "Kim Jong-il has an extremely vast determination of Western video clips. He loves them. He enjoys eating very high priced French and Italian wines. he will in no way sacrifice this excitement of existence. If the North starts off a conflict with the South, the wear would be on the two aspects and, importantly, as a effect, the Kim prolonged family contributors will could desire to resign their privileged existence form. as a result, for North Korea to start a conflict is going against the financial theory that mandates one to make a extra effective determination. the completed choosing on Obama is extremely lots component to North Korean misbehavior - he's a clean president and besides the certainty that he's new, in all likelihoods could desire to Kim Jong Il step previous the line, the UN could authorize action against North Korea and Obama could have a miles extra valid excuse for conflict than Bush did whilst he invaded Iraq. In that mild he's scared as his bluffing could actually reason his regime to fall. The President would not harbor any phantasm approximately North Korea, the sequence of bluffs and counter bluffs is a ingredient of the North Korean game, although with out the help of the two vast supporters they are very lots on my own although they are getting help from different international places. North Korea has 2 faces. on the single hand, it is the ill guy of East Asia, and politically, a reclusive dictatorial state with a criminal record. If Kim tries to impression u.s. he's getting brownie factors even whilst it is unsuccessful he gets some concessions notably now they have nuclear weapons which will the two pass and be used on South Korea or pass into the arms of Iran or terrorists.

George Bush is afraid of the Stalinist like country because a:they beat them back in the cold war b:they have more available troops but America balances that with their navy and air force and the haven't got the full support of the countries who are their biggest trade partners: Russia, China and the list goes on. So how many millions of lives will be lost if North Korea is invaded again and Russia or China aren't on our side and/or the religious extremists find it the perfect opportunity to attack the western countries?

Iraq all over again. The U.S or U.N move in, remove the dictator from power. Attempt to recover all of the weapons of mass destruction and try to rebuild North Korea.
North Korea has stated that the U.S is the reason they are conducting nuclear testing and i beleive that the U.N and U.S will stop at nothing to prevent a nuclear holocaust. Too much bad publicity!

Korea? North Korea is a jelly stain on the map, why would we be afraid of them? Not only does N. Korea not have any missles that can reach us, but they know that we could end them with a single weapon.
No, what we're afraid of is not North Korea, North Korea is afraid of us, what we're afraid of is the international community, because us having more money than them, they hate us. I find this more preposterous than the idea of being afraid of N. Korea, however, because of the democrats this is unavoidable. What I find most disgusting about the democrats is that they think foreign sovereignties that are indeed against us, should be the sovereign power over our international policy, forgetting completely that not only are we our own sovereignty as they try so much to respect when that sovereignty is an oppressive dictator, but that we are as well, the most powerful among all of these sovereignties.

No, I'm in the army and stationed eight miles from North Korea, and im not scared of North Korea. The crappy missles they launched on July 5th were a joke, there is nothing to fear. Plus, people dont realize how powerful a military South Korea has, they dont need our help.

The United Staes aint afraid of no one.... It's the United Nations that we have to deal with... We just can't go and kick everyone's a** LIKE WE SHOULD... There are other countries that are invloved, that have realations with N. Korea... The United States can't fight a war between numerous countries at the same time... That's why we put up with the s**t....

Was Bruce Lee afraid of Peewee Herman? Or anyone else, for that matter? Of course the US isn't afraid of Korea, or anyone else, for that matter. We have this little group called the U.S. Air Force that is quite capable of handling nuclear situations. There's also several of those little critters called Boomers that belong to the U.S. Navy. One should never make these people angry.

N. Korea is not even a small dog nipping an the heels of the US.
However, it is a great opportunity for China and the US to get on the same page and agree on a few things.
I think America might huff and puff but will let China deal with it's "little brother".
