An electromagnetic field is generated by all magnets. It can be observed with iron filings on paper over a magnet. It can be heard as a humming noise coming from high voltage power lines. It can be felt as the tingling you get from placing your hand near a screen on a cathode ray tube that has been operating for some time.

My dad worked in an office in which he was about 400 feet or less from a huge transmitor.
He died of a rare cancer of the brain. It was on the side of his head that was parallel to the transmittor which gave off electromagnetic energy that was way too close to where any human being should be daily exposed to.

Electromagnetic field consist of an electric field component and magnetic field .
when an ac passes through a conductor a time varying magnetic field is produced.this time varying magnetic field inturn produces a time varying electric field, which would produce time varying magnetic field and so on.this is an example of how em waves are produced.
Everybody can feel it.Even the visible light is em wave.em waves are used in your mobile phones for communication-here it is in the form of microwave.X-rays are em wave.

All the people walking around with Bluetooth headsets will feel their brain tumors eventually. 2.4Ghz is the natural resonant frequency of water. That's why microwave ovens use 2.4Ghz. Bluetooth headsets and many cordless phones also use 2.4Ghz.
Why people clip a a "radio transmitter" is a mystery.
Many Bluetooth headset users claim that they feel warmth coming from the side of their head with the headset on. Gee, you think????

this happenned to me about 10 yrs back. i bought a cell phone which was new then. when ever i kept it near me i use to get nausia. once i even vomited. i avoided using it for some time. whenever somebody bring it near to me with out me knowing, i could sense the presence of it easily. then i sold it. after about 5 years, i bought another set with new connection, but now i am quite used to it. no more nausia.
