iam currently taking abilify and xanax for my disorder. and i can tell you from experience that this type of medication has many side effects. it makes me feel lightheaded and dizzy almost drunk sometimes. i only take mine at bedtime. but to be on the safe side i would have her checked out by a qualified professional to determine if this is caused by the abilify before i stopped this medication. depending on how long she has been taking this drug, suddenly stopping it could have far worst effects on her body. best of luck to you.

It is possible, but id could be for any number of reasons. She could be dehydrated, low blood sugar (like if she didnt eat breakfast).
I kn ow a lot of kids that fake fainting for attention. Not saying that she is, (most fainters for real fall face forward just fyi).
One of my colleagues had a little girl that faked seizures because she was so stressed at home and was afraid to confront her parents. So they all needed to go to family counseling.
have her checked out for medical. Ask her if she ate real food before it happened. Look for an antecedant to the behavior (what happened before she fainted) where was she, was she in an emotional situation, at school, was there a test today? I mean all kinds of stuff.
If she's on abilify I'm going to assume she has bipolar disorder. Has she been having problems with sleep?
OH BTW. the lady with the kid that had the face tightening. That's called tardive dyskansia and it can happen with psychotropics. If that happens you need to see a psychiatrist right away. Usually they either reduce the dose or give Cogentin for it. These drugs are helpful and people act differently to all types of drugs, even asprin. So be careful about "swearing off" psychotropics because of one incident. It could have just been a reaction to an allergin.

My son was on this for about 2 or 3 days. He had a very strange reaction to this drug and I am told it is a rare side effect but let me tell you, it was very very scary. We had went to a restaurant to have dinner with family. It began with one side of his face tightening up. Headed to the ER and by the time we got there, it was gone. Decided to give him a 25mg dose of Benadryl just in case as doc had suggested. We headed back to the restaurant and as we sat down, it started again on the opposite side. Once again headed to the ER, this time it didn't stop and was getting worse. Doctor was freaked out also, had no idea what was going on and called everyone he could find to "fix" it. He would completely freeze up (for lack of a better explanation) couldn't even cry, it was so scarry. This went on for like 5 more hours. Doctor had given him predezone to fix this. Doctor was terrified his throat would close off. It finally ended and he was fine after that, but needless to say, we won't even try any type of drug in this classification again!

I used to take it. It is a strong drug. It could be because of it. I had multiple wrecks while taking that drug.
