Any pet shampoo will cut back on shedding if your critter is bathed and brushed regularly. Don't fall for a slick ad. Chances are that if they are telling you that it will reduce shedding, it's b/c they can't find anything else about it that is true. :D

I've heard that they work... i think that if your rubbing the fur(to lather) then that would take out hair, making it seem as though the dog didn't shed for alittle while. It's just a opinion but i don't think they would be worth any extra cost if there is any.

No, but some can make the hairs stick together and clog up the scalp and then the hair or fur (depending who you're using it on) feels dirty all the time.

I have not found any that work... The best thing I have found for my dog and was approved by my vet is Dawn dishwashing stuff...

I agree with RhonaR....Dawn dish soap was also reccomended by our vet...It is the safest to use on puppies and kills fleas....
