My sister(whos 19) is acting really odd the past few months. she lost her apartemnt and is living with a friend of the family. she doesnt seem to be looking for a job her new car is about to be repossesed and her cell phone bill is over $500. She was doing great but then for some reason everything went to crap. she called my mom a bunch of things to her face ( which i cant say here) and is ignoring everyone in her family. She goes out and parties every night though. does anyone have any ideas as to what her deal is? Id hate to see her ending up homeless but i can see it coming. Is she on drugs and if so which one. i dont think its pot though.

19 is the age when I was introduced to drugs, in particularly "meth". the things you've mentioned about your sisters behaviors, and patterns, and avoidence of the family shows huge huge signs of the beginings of a very long painful, almost devastating road of hell to be blunt and to the point. it is all fun and good times when first trying the drug, lots of friends, partys, then when your not looking you realize the addiction has taken hold. and now left standing all alone, leading to jail, abuse, turning tricks for a fix,and loss of self respect completely no trust and if not stopped or gotten help then ultimately death. I experienced, the life I spoke of first hand I lived this way for almost 12 years straight to the point of wanting to kill my self. prisons gates waiting for me, i found help I got sober and lived for 3 and a half years, recently i hav relapsed. .. and once again struggleing to quit. the drug is powerful. I cant ive in to it and your sister I pray this is not what has a hold of her, but try not to let her go if you can get her help...

The best way to find out what is wrong with her is to first find out who are friends are. Especially if she has new friends. Also, listen to her. I mean spend some time with her. Go out if you have to. I had to move a brother in with me at one point just to find out what was going on with him. Love her enough to get involved. This can't be done on the sidelines. The brother I spoke of has been there for me over and over in the last few years. So in a way, helping him was helping myself. You don't know when you will need her.

crystal meth is pretty popular right now... but without more details, it could be anything.
