The body lift kits run about $100. Body lifts over 1" are not recommended because of the stress on the mounts and bolts. Could be dangerous in an accident. Also, modifications the the fan shroud and transfer case shifter may be required to clear the relocated body.

i've never been a huge fan of body lifts, ever since i saw how a redneck could get the same results with several hockey pucks and a spade bit. i've always gone for the suspension, it keeps the lift all in one spot, so it's less complicated. a good option might be 2-inch spacers that mount in the seat of your suspension. skyjacker makes a good set (i'm sure other companies make them too, like warn, rubicon express, etc) if you're lifting it for looks (which sadly, many people do) then go with the body lift i suppose (it doesn't really give you much more clearance). if you want a vehicle that can take a bit more punishment, i would suggest beefing up with some skid plates (you already have an extra 3 inches, which is generally plenty of lift). i put skids on my gas tank, differentials, and steering pump, i'll get a tranny one soon. i don't know, you may already have lots of these parts. i run a 2 inch lift, and it works really well. it was pretty cheap too (i have the skyjacker setup). it was under 200 if i recall right. the skids help too. hope this helps.

I have a JKS 1.25" body lift on my TJ, about $120 from Quadratec. Actually was more because I also put on the motor mount lift. I don't know if you'll be able to clear 35s with a 3" lift - you may want to look at going bigger in the suspension versus doing too much in the body, because the stress on the bolts in the body lift can be kinda nasty.

the lift its self is about 100.00. they aren't really the expensive but a 2 inch body lift is going to require you to extend your shifter.

i own a repair shop,and about the cheapest kit i have seen is around 500 bucks ,and that's for a good kit,not the old throw away kits you can buy,but a 500 dollar kit is a good one to use,good luck i hope this help,s.
