I agree, you should never leave your kids alone. They are too young. If there were a fire they wouldn't know what to do. Or if someone tried to break in.Other things to be concerned about.
Falls
Burns
Drowning
Poisoning
Choking
Supervise your children at all times.
Never leave your child alone even to answer the phone or the door. Take your child with you.Never leave babies and young children home alone.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?? You NEVER leave your children alone like that unless you have a babysitter. When you go to the grocery store that is when you get your snacks. If you dont plan ahead then too bad for you. You ought to be reported. What would happen if a fire broke out or someone, you know like everyone who reads this, knows who your id is and wants to take advantage of your kids? I So hope you are kidding with this sick question. You have no idea the damage you may have already done to them by them being aware of the fact that mommy leaves them alone. Later on in their adult relationships they will become super clingy or obsessive compulsive about whatever makes them feel secure.
I dont understand why people, when they become a parent, your entire life revolves around your child?!? You ought to change your schedule to meet their needs. i.e. shop before you have to pick them up from daycare, or shop on days off if you have to.

You should NEVER leave your children alone!!! If you really have to sneak away to have a snack to the degree that you leave your kids alone, maybe you should consider cutting out that late night snack. But is satisfying an oral fixation more important than your kids' safety? If it's that hard to quit the junk, then maybe you should pick it up while they're at school or when the babysitter's watching them. Buy it in large quantities and hide it in your room or where ever you think it won't be discovered(If you really don't want to share.)
There's more, but hopefully you can figure it out.

Make sure that you have plenty of snacks bought up ahead of time, so that you do not have to leave late at night. Honestly, they are too young to be left alone for any amount of time. There is nothing that you can do to help them not be afraid, because it is perfectly normal for them to be. Look at the positive side of things, it may be tough to be a single mom at times, but be glad that they are "clingy" because there will come a time that they will be grown and gone and you will wish they were still at home being clingy and needing Mom.

You are joking right? A six year is NOT old enough to be left alone, no matter how mature they are, and especially is not old enough to be a babysitter for your younger children. Why don't you buy your f***ing snacks DURING THE DAY when you are grocery shopping? I assume you grocery shop? I assume you actually feed your children?
People should have to get a license to have children, I swear. They make you study and learn how to drive a car before you get your license and have proven you can drive, but anyone can have a baby. I find that very sad and a little sick.

The problem is you are leaving a 6 yr old alone ....... it doesn't make a difference if it is day or night. It is against the law to leave a child unattended in a house without adults. Get your snacks earlier in the evening when you can take the kids with you.

I don't remember getting instructions on how to take care of your kids. Hey if i were you I'd cherish those kids cause the years go so fast and then you are gonna wish you did. I don't think a kid wants to stay alone, especially at night. Why would you do that anyways. Take them with you.I love kids and have some of my own and every day is a challenge. You go with the flow and always redirect the child. But hey this is just my opinion. Goodluck

Are you leaving your kids home alone????
This is what it sounds like. If so......no wonder the kids freekout.
They are just little kids. You could be arrested for leaving them alone.
I am stunned if you are leaving them alone.
Now about the clingy...... remember your little ones haven't been on the earth all that long. They grew inside of you and they depend on you for everything. You are their security. As they grow older they learn to seperate themself from you gradually.
A good thing for you to do would to buy snacks to have on hand when you need a late night snack...and stop traumatizing your kids.

If your oldest is 6 and you have younger children, I saw you should NOT leave them at home alone. A woman local to me is facing jail time for leaving her 5 year old child alone at home while she ran her older kids to school. The kid walked out looking for Mom (scared) and authorities were called. Her trial is next week. You need to take them with you. I don't even leave my 13 year old home alone yet.

First of all, it's not safe to leave your children alone at night, even just to run out to the store. A six year old is not capable of watching other children, even if they're sleeping. Emergencies happen.
I'm not judging you, but I'd order in from now on. Try to find a hobby that you can find a babysitter for once a week. You need your mommy time, but you also need to be safe about it.
