Sometimes the pain will be so bad that I can only crawl (usually after I wake up the day after doing a lot of walking). The pain always gets better the more I move around. What is this? I am in my early 20's. Does anyone else out there have it?

Sounds like the muscle is cramping up or tightening up on you. When you are sitting down, try stretching out your ankle and see if that alleviates the pain.

yeah I have the same problem but not just in my ankles. What you need to do when you get home in the evening is just take your shoes off and relax with your feet up for a while. Then before you go to sleep, just massage your ankles to loosen them up. Try to sleep with a pillow under them too to help with the circulation. I have been like this from about 10 or 11 so I know the pain that you can feel.
