Talk with your therapist tomorrow. What you are experiencing is not usually associated with Wellbutrin XL Sound like you picked up a cold bug of some kind.
If your throat constricts or breating becomes difficult, go straight to the ER. It probably won't be from the wellbutrin, but those symptoms are serious.

Stay away from Wellbutrin! Wellbutrin is dangerous in itself but is even worse when mixed with prozac. I was on 80mg of prozac and then given 150mg of Wellbutrin. The fifth day of being on Wellbutrin I had a Grand Mal Seizure. My doctor told me that taking the two together can lower your seizure threshold. I was then advised to eat more to counter act this with electrolytes. Not but two days later I had another Grand Mal Seizure that lasted 4 mins. I was taken to the ER had a head CT and everything to make sure I didn't have a tumor and they concluded it was the mixture of the two drugs that caused my seizure (surprise). I was advised by the doctor in the ER to never take Wellbutrin again because with my prozac it increased the toxicity of the two drugs causing very severe seizures. They even told me that it was good that I had this reaction early on when taking this med because there have been cases where long term users develop epilepsy even after they are taken off the drug. I am off the Wellbutrin for a week now and haven't had a seizure since but the doctors told me that that is no guarantee that I haven't developed epilepsy and that my next seizure could be days, weeks, or months from now even after being taken off the drug.

well i take that too but twice a day, i would say if you start having trouble breathing, like your throats swelling closed or shortness of breath get to the hospital quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But just soreness should be ok till monday... But keep a CLOSE eye on your breathing and heart rate!!! Im also a nurse, but if your worried something is wrong, dont take any chances and get to the hospital now... Its better safe then sorry, Right!!! Goodluck, it make take a few different types of meds before you get the one that works for you!

No concerns. Wellbutrin really doesn't have many bad side effects, and I don't think the sore throat is related.

Dry mouth is a side effect. Iwas on it for depression & to stop smoking. It made the cigarettes taste wierd & left an overall funny taste in my mouth. Talk to your Dr or go to the webpage to look up Side effects.

if your throat starts to swell, go to emergency at once. However, it could be that co-incidently you have picked up a germ. I would certainly call the doctor ASAP tomorrow - before taking another pill. Headache is a common side effect. Good luck!

i just stopped taking 150 mg of wellbutrin. it causes 'dry mouth'. many anti-depressants cause dry mouth, in fact. but it hurts when you Breathe? if it hurts you to breathe, it is serious. i would suggest, go to emergency right now! you could've had some sort of bad reaction to it. even if it's not serious, i think you should go now, or you will regret it later.
good luck
