Football is a game composed of 11 players per team on the field at any given time. You score points by moving the ball through a series of plays into your opponents end zone. A touchdown is 6 points. That's when you actually have possession of the ball in the end zone. If you kick it between the goal posts before making a touchdown, it's called a field goal and scores 3 points. If you kick it after the touchdown, it's an extra point and scores 1 point. If you get tackled in your own end zone, it's called a safety and your opponent gets 2 points. When you're trying to get a touchdown, you must move the ball at least 10 yards every four downs or you lose your turn and the opponent takes over. On the fourth try, you may choose to punt the ball to your opponent so that they have further to go for their touchdown. That's a start for you. First of all you need to specify where you are from... Football is a term used in a lot of games where a ball is kicked around a field. Aussie rules football is different to American football which is different to European Football which Aussies and the USA call Soccer.
