You don't need books on line. There is surely a library you can use.

The Lemony Snicket books are still appropriate for that age. One of my favorite books also for students of that age is The Schwa was Here by Neal Schusterman(its an easy read, told from the point of view of an 8th grade boy).

"Ender's Game" and "Artemis Fowl" are good books for someone of that grade and they have many sequels that follow the book after words. That should give the student plenty of books to read.
