Do you still incorporate some Christian beliefs or did you go over to Wicca completely?

My example: I know Wicca is the religion for me - but God "and Goddess"???....is that how I believe - or just what I have been taught?

One the one hand I believe that God doesn't care WHAT you call him as long as you do call him. But - "Worship only one GOD (not Goddess)...??? That still sticks with me....

Church - no organized money making religion for me, thanks....not when people live one way on Sunday and another way thru the week.

I will have to decide eventually what to do and how to go about my decision - but I guess I still have some Christian hurdles to get over.

Before you "go over" to wicca, you need to want to believe in what it stands for and all it entails. Do more research and see if it is truly in your heart. It is not something to be taken lightly, not just a fad, but a way of life. There is no such thing as a christian witch you can't have it both ways. Wiccans are polytheists, we believe in many gods with the Goddess being the primary deity. We are all about nature at it's purest and not black hats and evil doings. If this is what you really desire, welcome!! Blessed Be!

Other than Tink having some serious issues...it's not about having no possesions. What the heck. That's Marxism, not Christianity. It's only the greed and want of more possesions that will keep you down. Everyone sins, no one is perfect. I am not perfect. Although I don't have to point that out, it's already obvious enough. But to the asker, please don't think that every christian doesn't try to be what God asks them to do everyday. You've seen some bad examples of poser-christians, that really look like they're on fire for God, but then forget about later.

Believe me, I go to school full of them. But the thing is, is that there are a bunch of other true Christians that really shine their love for God and others. It's just saddening to hear of people who don't want to live for God anymore. I certainly do have problems everyday that i face, and I freak out because I think it's too much for me. But God never dishes out more than you can handle, and it's just a test of faith and resolve. Sometimes it sucks, because it seems like the whole world is out to get you, but think about...wouldn't it be nice to know that there's someone transcendant of this universe who you can rely on and won't let you down because He created you?

But whatever you decide, in the end it's your decision and you have to make that choice. Not alone. I'll pray for you.
P.S. I really will pray for you. Best hopes.

ok hun, it is realy up to you on what you keep and what you get rid of. with wicca, yes we have laws and rules, but you set your path and fallow it..wether it be on your own or with a group. as for the god and goddess you pick them or they will pick you. if you watch you will see the signs. most the wiccans i know live the same everyday not change for one or to days a week. i do know some christions who also fallow the wiccans they are both. it is your choice to make , no one can do it for you and no one should. open your heart ,mind, and spirit, and listen carefuly to what you hear, that will help guide you to your path. i hope this has help you out some. need any more help just ask, i'm here along with a few others.
blessed be

There are people who have combined both Christian and Wiccan beliefs into a path generally referred to as "Christian Wicca". It opens them to ridicule from people on both sides, but it's a path that works for them and that's what's important. You may want to consider doing some research on it to see if it speaks to you.

For me, I see the duality of nature as both masculine and feminine, and that having one without the other is out of balance.

I also view that the masculine and feminine aspects that I call God and Goddess are both aspects of one Higher Power that is beyond consciousness and beyond gender. So in that respect it doesn't matter if I'm addressing the masculine aspect of the Deity which I call "God" or the feminine aspect which I call "Goddess" - they are ultimately parts of the same whole.

It is all silly to me, but if you want the lines defined then you should heed that at the beginning of the Bible it is stated that you must follow the word of God. That means following all the rules of the Bible. If you read the entire Bible you will find out that not only can you not practice Wicca, buy you cannot have pre-marital sex, have any possessions...otherwise, you will burn for an eternity in a pit of fiery hell. Don't worry though, none of that is real anyways.

Read some Joseph Campbell and then come back to this question. By the way, Christianity has pretty much taken over every Pagan holiday.

good old christian devil guilt--it goes away eventually, but some remnants of christianity will never leave you--it's impossible to "unlearn" anything. Your own path has to be traveled your own way, I wish I could make that easier for you--blessed be!

Now why would you want to do that???? You can't be a Christian and practice Wicca. God forbids it.
