I eat healthy and I have been dieting. I have changed my eating habits all together and I eat healthy now. I am 5'5 and I am 134 pds. I started at 250 a little over a year ago, so eating healthier has gotten me to this amazing point. I am so happy with the way I look but my goal weight when I started was 125 and this was agreed by my doctor that this would be a good weight because I have a very small frame.

But I have been stuck at 134 and not losing an inch. Would the cabbage diet be a good thing to do to boost me through this plateau? I am thinking it would help me lose the extra weight and then I would go back to my normal healthy eating habits. Would the weight loss stick as long as you keep eating healthy? Have you tried it, did it work for you?

It's only 9 pounds and you are at a very healthy weight for your size. I think you should consider yourself done and not start doing crazy stupid diets that might wack your metabolism all to hell after all that work!

First of all, I'm 5'5 also, and used to weigh 135 lbs, and I'd give anything to get back to that. You probably look amazing... and also, it was hard for me to get below that weight. It took me FOREVER. But I eventually got to 130 and stayed there for a long time.
Second, do NOT do that diet. I tried it once before and it was awful. By the third day I felt so sick to my stomach and light headed. It's not a good diet at all. Kick up your exercise routine a bit and try to cut out just a few extra calories. You should lose it in about 4 or 5 weeks. Don't get frustrated, you've done a great job thus far. Keep yourself motivated, and good luck!

Good for you for your present weight loss success! I have tried the cabbage soup diet. Felt like it shuld have done more than it did. What HAS worked for me, and I am back on track now is a "Metabolism boost" through increasing the intensity of my workout. I do a combined circuit of weight training cardio and abs exercise 3 times a week. Focus on drinking more water than usual and eating smaller healthy snacks with a protein -- focus on establishing a routine and your metabolism should start to realize you are not intending to starve it, and reward you kindly. :D

You're probably stuck becuase you need variety. DO NOT do that diet. IT isnt very healthy, you'll need more calories daily to survive. Do different excersizes and try different meals. You body stops burning more calories when you do the same thing, because it gets used to it. Do something different, and you should be at 125 in a few weeks.

Definitely not!!! Your body just goes into "starvation mode" & will conserve fat to get it through the 'famine'.
What you have achieved is amazing! Just step up your exercise a few minutes per day & you will lose, although it sounds as if you & doctor might reconsider your goal weight.
