Several years ago I went to a website where it would help you pick the right breed of dog to fit your wants and lifestyle. It would ask you questions like do you have a house or live in an apartment?Like shedding or not,big or small, barks alot or not, and what kind of disposition you prefer.

Those questionnaire sites are really not a good way to pick a breed. Its an ok place to start, but there is much more to a dog than barking and shedding. Go to the AKC site and then do research from there.

You will have to do some reading and looking at photos of the breeds and some thinking but start here:

http://www.akc.org/breeds/index.cfm?nav_area=breeds

Better you sort the information than letting some anonymous computer programmer do it for you in picking a companion of many years. (And the petfinder site leaves off a lot of breeds and doesn't ask many details.)
