I have verizon right now and all i can get for my internet is dial up cuz dsl and cable is not available to me yet. and im sick of the high cost of verizon then have to pay for internet seperately.

I get it thru cable....we got Time-Warner...and Earthlink in my town....so I went with earthlink.net high speed internet for my VoIP...tell the tech. who will install your cable to open the ports for VoIP... some providers, like comcast don't like when you choose another company..like vonage...

You need cable or dsl. I waited 3 yrs for dsl in my area when it was SBC telephone in my area.As of 2 wks ago no dsl yet, so I got Comcast high speed since I have no choice but to use their cable. Yes it's expensive. I got rid of land line service in my house and just have cell phones for me and my daughter.

yes, you have to have cable or dsl as well as a vonage router. if you want wireless internet the best thing to do is to get the linksys wireless router which your phone will plug into. if you want more then one phone in your house you will have to get an expandable phone system since your phone has to plug into the router not the phone lines. if you are interested in vonage i would check out radioshack, they will have everything that you need there as well as be able to explain how everything works.

you can have cable or DSL...any broadband will do, DSL is a little cheaper then cable! but both work!!
