Remember Harry Callahan, in Dirty Harry(Clint Eastwood) castigizing a fellow police officer for putting ketchep on a hotdog? "nough said.

No it isn't wrong if you follow the correct protocol. The hot dog should be placed with care onto the fresh roll. The ketchup bottle should be held at an upright angle so as to give the best angle of trajectory when the ketchup leaves the bottle. Squeeze the bottle onto the hot dog from left to right (never ever from right to left) And it is ready to eat. enjoy!

I prefer mustard and relish on brats or natural casing dogs cooked over a campfire. But no, it is not a mortal sin to put ketchup (or even catsup) on a hotdog. That is probably the most common topping.

What's wrong with putting ketchup? Ketchup is just a condiment made from tomatoes to be eaten with other foods such as fries and hot dogs.
