i need to help my boyfriend to write a scholarship letter as he really needs that.but we sdon't know how to start,i've tried looking into internet but i couldn find a suitable .pls help

Go to your local library and ask the librarian if she has any books with examples in them. Otherwise there are tons of sites to help on www.dogpile.com (search out Scholarship writting tools) or www.google.com (Sholarship help)

if you have microsoft word. you can search directly from there and it will pull up templates that you can download modify and change depending on your need. the search area should be on the right hand side when ya start word.
