Since you are going to the doctor every week now, he/she should be checking for you. That is the only way to find out for sure.

You should be going for weekly doctor visits now. Have the doctor check you. You don't start dilating until the contractions start. Contractions feel like horrible menstrual cramps. It will come soon. The pressure is probably the head lowering into the birth canal.

The OBGYN will have to check to see how dilated you are. The baby has dropped and that's why you feel pressure. Trust me...you will know when you go into true labor.

See your doctor. I doubt you can reach your cervix yourself, and even so you probably don't know how to measure the opening. Pressure is normal, especially if your baby is positioning herself (called dropping). You don't want to poke around down there if you don't have to, and you'll know when it's time.

only if you can get down there and look, or use a scope.
Your Doctor or OB Nurse has to do a pelvic exam to see.
