Anyone else gain weight on lexapro? How do you lose it? I've tried diet and exercise. Doesn't seem to work

for this kind of weight gain. SSRIs are the only thing that work for me but I can't deal with the weight gain.

It's rough. I gained about 100 lbs. but I was also on other meds that also cause weight gain. I couldn't handle it. I finally went off meds entirely because I was getting as depressed from the weight gain as I was to start out. I've been off all meds for a year but I think I might need to go back on them and I'm scared that I'll get too fat to walk through doors. Now, I'm depressed but at least I can hold down a job.

well lexapro is usually prescibed for depression. so if you are depessed then maybe you are eating more then you actually think you are.... and that is why your gaining weight.

ohh ! i've gained 30 lbs on this stuff. sorry i don't have an answer....tell your doctor,,i even considered diet pills....omg wen u find an answer please tell me...
