Dancer,
That is SO COOL of you! When I was 12 I was still eating cereal if my Mom didn't cook.
Go to the library and pick up a Cooking Light cookbook.
The recipes are simple, healthy and use common ingredients.
I suggest this instead of giving you a recipe because I don't know what you have in the house.

Wow! Good for you. You can get tons of ideas off the internet. And it really helps to look at a cookbook so you can see pictures and start to understand what cooking is all about.
Also, at your school there should be a counselor or a teacher who can help you. There might be a school class you can take.
Do you know how to make anything? Sandwiches? Salads? Eggs? What do you want to know how to make and tell us if you have much experience.
I have lots of good recipes and I'll send some when I know what you want.

Great,,just go to the library and get a couple of books on cooking ...and experiment heck i was making scrambled eggs and bacon at your age.. i bet there is allot of recipes you can pull off the internment..just copy and follow..after a while you will just follow the recipe as a guide and go to your own taste like many people do!! and remember cooking is FUN

To learn to cook start small and work up. For receipes go to food.com. Start with receipes of 5 items or less. And be careful I have cooked for years and still cut or burn myself once in a while. Save the dangerous things, deep frying, pan frying etc., a couple of years until you get some practice. Good luck.
