Because apparently, rich talentless people who were born famous can have any career they want!

because in this day in age, if you are rich and famous, everyone in the music and movie business assumes you have talent. shaq put a rap album out and starred in a movie, both were pretty dismal. Paris Hilton puts out an album, and watch, she'll be in a movie soon. Britney Spears was in a movie. Rappers are in movies. Movie stars sometimes put out songs. J. Lo is pretty good at acting AND singing. I have yet to see Jessica Simpson act in a movie yet, but from what i hear, "The Dukes of Hazzard" was ok. What's her next movie?
Sports stars are sometimes in movies, too. Shaq, Brett Farve (in "There's Something About Mary"), who is next? Barry Bonds in a movie about juicing? Pete Rose in a movie about illegal gambling on sports? Next it will be Kobe about a sports star turning into a monster and raping someone.
Bill Gates will probably be in a movie someday.

In order to have a music career, u absolutey cannot be TALENTED!!! U just have to have'sex appeal'
And personally I don't feel nothing about that dumb blond is sexy. She has the body of 9 year old boy! She is flat as a board and as dumb as a box of wood!

cuz she's famous and money buys just about anything you can think of in Hollywood. probably same answer to "why did she get her own TV show".. if her family wasn't rich, she'd just be a spoiled little girl with no career..

I'd go farther than that and say why is she a celebrity in the first place? She doesn't have any talent as far as I can tell.
