Also, is it really necessary for the police to point a gun at these guys and does it border on entrapment?

Its my understanding that a few of these cases have been thrown out of court for entrapment. Most states have some type of law called solicitation of sex or solicitation of sex with a minor. I'm sure that is what most of these people were charged with. In most cases these charges are misdemeanor charges.

It's some bull crap like
Criminal Intent or Conspiracy to commit crime.
And no, it's not really necesary to point the guns.
But I'm waiting for the day when a sexual predator recognizes the house, and comes in guns blazing.

The crime is solicitation of minor for sexual perposes, they point guns at them because they are criminals and lowlifes.
