Well, Beethoven's first symphony was used for years in German music schools as an example of how NOT to write a symphony. Many critics of Beethoven attacked his works until his genius could no longer be denied.

Galileo was almost burned at the stake for saying the earth orbited the sun.

I guess you have to decide what success really is. Is it being right, or is it being afraid to say something because it might be criticized.

Nope. Let's face it, no matter how successful you are there will always be jealous haters who can't stand to see someone else get ahead and rather than rise to the challenge they will try to pull you down to their piss poor pathetic level.


So long as you're pleased with yourself and your own accomplishments that's all that matters.

Sucess in what area of your life? If you are talking spiritually since that's where you posted the question, financial sucess is not important. Nor is power nor what people think of you, etc.

Somehow, you could consider it.... but, as i could consider it in my case, talent can bring you at the top but character will keep you at the top....
