yes. I had braces for about two years, from sixth to eighth grade. I got my retainer shortly after. now I'm a senior in high school and I still need to wear the stupid retainer!

I wore braces for 2 1/2 years then a retainer for 1 year.

I had to get a retainer when i was 6 because i kept sucking my finger then, I stopped sucking my finger in the day time but when I'd go to sleep I would suck my finger without knowing it. So i had to wear a retainer to stop sucking my finger. .. Then last year in september I had to get braces.... And I got them off in August of this year and now I have to wear a retainer at night so my teeth stay straight.

u have brace for at least 3 years depends on how ur teeth r then u get retainer after u get ur brace off

I still am!!! It sucks. I had to get them my Freshman year. But at least I'll have sparkling teeth for next year's Senior pics. Yay!
