True.. and what an excellent observation.
In this country we may be liberal, conservative, rich, poor, educated, or idiots, but we all have the friggin yellow ribbon on our car.
We march to the war drums, every last one of us. We never stop to ponder the absurdity of saying that our military fights for our freedom, even though they don't and haven't for over a hundred years. We never stop to question the intelligence of things we have done, never learn from our mistakes, never question the intelligence of spending more of our gdp on the military than any other nation on earth, never question developing ever more and destructive weapons which are, inevitably, used to kill 10 times more innocnet people than "bad guys" (and who are the bad guys anymore anyway?)
