Our own sin nature.
That is why God tells us that we will not overcome it, but with submission to his word and his will and his way, we will be able to control it.
We each have our own "cross to bear" different weaknessess, but all have at least one. Whatever that weakness is, it is the one that is the toughest to overcome.
For me, it was overcoming severe abuse as a child. Learning to forgive the ones who never asked nor wanted forgiveness. Learning that the only way to break the cycle was to literallly break it by never forgetting it or pretending it didnt happen. Always have it in mind when disiplining your own children and never let your anger control you. Like any other weakness, you must control it, or it will control you. There is no inbetween.

Throwing up the fruit from the tree of the knoweldge of good and evil and instead learning to trust that God will provide for you.
Its not just one of the toughest things, it IS the single toughest one.

I love these philosophical questions!!
I think this differs from one person to another. For me, it's forgiving myself for my past mistakes. I will beat myself up over something I do wrong. It's hard to overcome the mistakes when I constantly remind myself of these issues.

that the will of God is good. that we must trust him . do what he taught and love our enemies care for each other no matter what and forgive all people of ever thing even forgive yourself. do this live with faith that is shown to God in every moment. be willing to die for God and be willing to live for God . believe in Jesus and then no matter what never hate always love never want always accept that you have enough learning and doing all of this is tough but if you achieve this you can know that you may be with God forever.

any personal illness and disease or perhaps going through that with a loved one and perhaps losing them. it takes the strength in God to overcome these matters.
