I have made several "various artists" CDs on my computer from downloaded music and from my own collection and have run into this problem: some recordings are at a much lower level than others, so I have to frequently adjust the volume on my CD player to compensate. Is there software to correct this?

Find an option or checkbox for "Normalize" or "Normalize all..."

i use adobe audition for that ...normalize, set the level, and use a click-pop filter .. they turn out pretty good ... then burn them after ur done editing...
