The doctor says it fatty tissue that has surfaced to the skin but she has two the size of a basketball and they are growing larger. She really needs help.

Any tumor, any growth is not normal. Find a holistic healer like someone who practices applied kinesiology, a naturopath or someone who pratices Oriental medicine. With the help of homeopathic and herbal medications, these practitioners should be able to shrink those tumors.
Medical doctors do not know the answer to everything and are pretty much the spokespeople for big pharmaceutical companies.

I think she needs a second opinion then. If they are lipomas, these are benign fatty growths, which are not usually removed unless they impinge on nerves or something. Perhaps your mom knows more than what she is telling you?

get a second opinion and if you can go with her to the doctor so that between the two of you can understand--sometimes it takes more than one brain to understand and retain what a doctor says

Get another opinion. If the growths are not cancerous but are inhibiting your mother's quality of life they should be removed if possible before they get any worse.

go to other doctors until you get the answer you want. Don't wait around and put off something that could be dangerous.

They should still be able to remove them (if that's what your mom wants). I would get a second opinion.

Take her to Chimayo in New Mexico, where there are miracle cures. This requires also faith and much prayer.
