There is no need to believe in something that is self evident.

Karma is the set of conditions that has led me to this moment. And it is the set of conditions that I am creating in this moment. And it is the set of conditions that will extend outward from this moment.

You cannot drop a pebble in the water without making waves. Everything we do sets off a chain reaction of events that directly effects the world around us. Its delusional to believe otherwise.

I believe in the law of karma, as in cause and effect, that we reap what we sow, not that we pay for the sins of this life in our sorrows in the next. I believe this life is a one time fling as a fleshy, physical mortal being. At least I used to believe this way. As an agnostic, I am no longer certain what I actually Do believe any more.

Strangely, even though I am not a God botherer, I do.

I have seen some very strange things happen over my life.

Eg, In Vietnam a friend lay down on the side of a road & waited while we all moved off. He should have been amoung the first to move. At the last minute he did a push up to get on his feet & dropped down dead. One of our APCs had a round stuck in a 50 cal barrel 5 miles away. The gunner fired the round into the air randomly. It struck my friend & killed him. Questions; Why did he wait in that exact spot? Why did he lift up at that particular time? Why did the gun have a stoppage? Why was the gun pointed in that exact direction, elevation, etc?

Why have I been in so many situations where I should have been killed and yet I have survived unscathed?

I've seen far to many examples to mention not to believe in Kaama.

I believe in karma. I feel that everything you do now has a direct result on your next life and things you did in past lives has directed you to what and who you are today

Yes I do. Do something good today and see what happens...but don't think 'I deserve something good' because then it probably won't... But later that day something good and completely unexpected will happen and you will think - 'Hey! That was Karma!'

Yes! But my question is if someone does something nasty to you first will karma get you if you get them back because they started it first? I know it will come back on you if you do something to sombody first.
